There are quite a few highly precise and effective cutting technologies available, most of which are based on computer numerical control (CNC). A CNC router, laser, plasma, or waterjet cutting machine can cut or engrave a design on a sheet of material (wood, soft metals, etc.).
Due to the many benefits of CNC machining – including cutting with accuracy, a quick turnaround time, and reduced labor cost – it’s widely used by industries for prototyping and customizing products. At the same time, these machines are becoming more popular among the maker community and hobbyists.
In our search, we looked for sites with designs of both quality and quantity. Since we already have articles on the best sites for wood CNC designs and STL files for CNC, we’ve tried to avoid duplication and provide additional information even if we’re featuring the same site.
